Role Overview: The Material Handler – Shipping focus is on safely and efficiently handling finished goods. This position requires extensive forklift experience, as the primary responsibility is moving and staging large equipment and packaged goods for shipment. Prior knowledge of shipping procedures or transportation logistics is not required, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in high-volume forklift operations.
Essential Functions:

- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and stage finished goods for shipment.
- Inspect, handle, and transport products with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate counts when staging and loading finished goods.
- Assist with preparing products for outbound shipments, including wrapping, banding, and palletizing.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with Shipping and Production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Extensive forklift experience with a strong record of safe operation (certification preferred or ability to obtain).
- Ability to handle large, heavy, and high-value finished goods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems (IFS preferred but not required).
