IT Project Manager Job Details:

Snell & Wilmer has a full-time opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to work in conjunction with the Project Management Office ("PMO") supporting all aspects of the project lifecycle. The IT Project Manager is responsible for acting as the primary liaison between the PMO, technical teams, and stakeholders.  

This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely in one of the following states, Arizona or Utah, where our offices are located. 

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to plan, develop, implement, and manage multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to close 
  • Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, leadership, and other related parties to define project scope, objectives, strategy, schedule, budget, and success criteria 
  • Take charge of planning daily tasks, scheduling meetings, and setting deadlines to drive projects forward 
  • Update project tracker, track deliverables, monitor risks, mitigate issues, and proactively communicate with project team and stakeholders 
  • Keep track of costs and ensure spending is in line with project budget 
  • Review vendor invoices to confirm work was completed and to our standards 
  • Assumes, coordinates, and/or manages other duties or projects as assigned 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • PMP certification (preferred) or eligibility to obtain within 18 months of hire
  • 5+ years of project management experience (preferred)
  • Prior IT experience (preferred)
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining strong, effective, and collaborative relationships
  • Experience managing vendor relationships (preferred)

  • Experience with procurement and budgeting (preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet aggressive deadlines independently
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet Project Management System (preferred)
  • Up to 30% travel required annually, depending on portfolio needs; must reside within one hour of a commercial airport
