Instructional Technology Rep - Digital Solutions Team chez General Dynamics Electric Boat

This position will be in the Learning Solutions group within the Workforce Development organization at Electric Boat.  This group is responsible for learning technology, delivering training solutions, and providing digital delivery support for training activities.  This job will focus on developing digital learning products and executing their deployment in the Learning Management System.  This role will partner with organizational team members to build courses and curriculum paths in the LMS as well as work with Key Stakeholders to develop a variety of digital learning products.  This role will support the growth of digital delivery at EB and work to remove barriers as they arise.  The ideal candidate focuses on problem resolution and has experience with learning technologies and software. 

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Publish courses in the Learning Management System and ensure correct functionality
• Ensure curriculum is grouped and digitally delivered as imagined by stakeholders
• Troubleshoot anomalies and investigating trouble tickets submitted for assignment and completion questions
• Creating digital learning content such as interactive eLearning courses, short live action and motion graphics learning videos, infographics and iPDFs in accordance with SCORM and eLearning publishing standards
• Coordinate shooting of live training videos
• Ensure learning activities are delivered by using the most impactful learning methodologies
• Maintain Course Libraries
• Partner with other members from Learning Services and Curriculum Development team, as well as Stakeholders to ensure curriculum projects are developed in a timely manner with a high degree of quality
• Partner with IT and LMS provider to maintain uninterrupted delivery and support of digital training for all EB employees

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Media Development, Business, Education, or related field, or 4+ years of professional experience in Instructional Design or Media development
• 2+ years of experience designing eLearning courses or video editing using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia, After Effects, or Premier Pro

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience managing Learning Management Systems such as Cornerstone or similar
• Experience with evaluating training effectiveness
• Experience using HTML, CSS and Java to customize and enhance Sharepoint functionality
• Experience with AI programs or Data Automation

• Ability to handle multiple, time sensitive projects while focusing on quality of work
• Attention to detail: highly organized with excellent follow-through and delivery
• Customer focused and solutions oriented
• Strong familiarity with advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and multiple variable formulas
• Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
