We are seeking a Database Administrator Intern to learn and understand current systems, architectures, integrations, and technologies and how they interact within the data services framework. You will assist non-production and production database environments, data integration solutions and data warehouse environments and find solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design and maintenance of logical and physical databases.
• Mirroring, SQL Reporting, Backups / Restores / Failovers.
• Performance tuning, optimization, stored procedures, triggers.
• Participate in data modeling (Conceptual/Logical/Physical) and other data initiatives addressing both new and existing systems.
• Work closely with developers to provide data services to existing and new applications.
• ETL (extract, transform and load) design, development, and support for moving large data volumes from various sources into the various destinations after significant cleansing, transformation, and processing.
• Participate in requirements definition, analysis, and design of data related solutions.
• Create complex reports using SQL Server Reporting and Analysis Services.
• Participate in business process improvement.
• Publish and communicate models to IT and business unit teams.
• Ensure confidentiality of company information.
• Build on your personal knowledge base through continued education and training.
Qualifications
• Working towards a four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems.
• Familiarity with Data Architecture concepts and standards.
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) concepts and standards.
• Experience with SQL.
• Strong Analytical Skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, remote position, on first shift for summer 2026.
