Job Description:
Full Circle is seeking an Owner’s Representative to join our Real Estate Development Team to manage construction and design aspects of development projects in collaboration with Project Management staff and the Senior Owner’s Representative. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development. Specific duties of the Owner’s Representative include:
- Resolve complex project design and construction issues and disputes in collaboration with the project team
- Review and provide input on the development of plans and specifications, construction budgets and schedules
- Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts with contractors, architects, engineers, and other firms
- Review and provide input on construction draws, change orders, and Requests for Information
- Regular travel to on-site construction meetings, progress inspections, and other fieldwork
- Work with project staff and exterior partners to keep the project on schedule and on budget
- Assist in managing relationships with contractors, architects, engineers and vetting new relationships
- Aid in evaluating the feasibility of potential new sites and project concepts
- Work directly with stakeholders to assist in the design and coordination of specific construction aspects such as utility connections, keying schedules, and low voltage plans
- Ability and willingness to lead specific initiatives of the organization as directed by and in collaboration with senior staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal team member will blend passion, creativity, and technical experience to achieve the feasible design and effective construction of affordable housing developments. They will work closely with Project Management staff to successfully complete projects and manage their work with a high degree of initiative and independence.
Candidates must have:
- 3-5 years of multifamily residential construction administration or management experience
- Educational background in architecture, engineering, construction management or a closely related field. A master’s degree in one of these fields can be substituted for one year of experience.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a proactive manner
- Strong attention to detail, technical experience, and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience reading and understanding architectural and engineering drawings
Strong Candidates will have:
- More than 5 years of multifamily residential construction administration or management experience
- Experience with the design, construction, and compliance of affordable housing developments

Full Circle Communities, Inc. currently has ownership/affiliated interests in and/or manages over 1,200 apartment units in Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan. We are located in Chicago, Illinois, in the West Loop near UIC, but due to our growth in Michigan would consider remote employment in the Detroit area. Our corporate office functions in a relaxed, business casual environment, with some work-from-home flexibility.
