Essential Responsibilities:
- Scan's location and pulls product using scanner to fulfill customer orders in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensures all units are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
- Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
- Places completed and labelled order into designated area once order is fulfilled.
- Maintains a clean work area, sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, etc.
- Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operates a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements.
- Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards. and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
- Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
- Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
- Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience driving industrial powered equipment.
- High School Diploma and GED
Physical Requirements:
- Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.
- 100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp.
- 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception.
- 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment.
- 10%: Working bent at waist, climbing, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, bending or twisting.
- Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
