About the Department

Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center is hiring a Pickleball Instructor to teach youth and adult classes at our indoor facility. If you love pickleball and want to share that passion with others, apply today!

What you’ll do:

• Teach fun, safe, and engaging pickleball classes
• Focus on skill development for all levels
• Adapt lessons for youth and adult beginner/improver players

What we’re looking for:

• Enthusiasm for pickleball and working with people
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Experience leading group classes (preferred)

Current Class Schedule:

• Sundays: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday/Thursday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Wednesday: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Fridays: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM

 *Schedule dates and times are tentative and additional times/dates may be added.
 
Job Classification Status:
THPRD is hiring for multiple positions, hours may vary and are based on program need. Part-time variable (PT) employees work an average of less than 20 hours per week and may work less than 1,560 hours on an annual basis.  This position may be eligible for multiple positions within the same classification that have the same job duties and qualifications.

Essential Job Functions

• Instructor I: No teaching experience required, must love working with people of all ages and abilities; be able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age. 

Pay rate range: $18.97-20.14 hourly

• Instructor II: Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age. 

Pay rate range: $20.68 - $23.30 hourly.

• Instructor III: Must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. 

Pay rate range: $22.82 - $25.69 hourly.

• Instructor IV: This is an advanced level position. Candidates must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training equivalent to four years of college in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age.

Pay rate range: $32.11 - $36.14 hourly.

Additional duties include light setup and cleanup, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment, and coordinating with recreation staff.
