What we need

We are looking for a Controller to support a successful and rapidly growing business with trusted brands. Overall purpose of the role:

We are Growing thru both acquisitions and organically!  Exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Financial Controller / Finance Director as we transform the company and industry. The Financial group will easily be the widest encompassing function within our organization. You will get exposure to a wide range of transactions and will also work on highly visible organizational projects that are very innovative, providing exposure to many different areas within Alpha Comm. This position reports directly to the VP Finance and will have strong interactions with the other key leaders in the company along with our key customers. This role is an excellent mix of both Finance; budgeting, forecasting & GAAP accounting process / procedures.

Without the strength of our accounting & finance team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a financial professional, preferably in a senior role. The role will also support our M&A activities along with being able to lean in with the VP Finance as we plan the next phase of growth. Out of the box thinking and best practices always appreciated! Role is also defined as “hands-on”.

Alphacomm custom designs, manufactures and distributes wireless accessories to over 18,000 points of distribution, primarily in the Prepaid wireless market in North America. Alphacomm leads the wireless industry in the number of carrier brands managed and is the first to market carrier-licensed accessory portfolios for over fifty devices launched annually. In-house brands, Quikcell and BosBos, are leading brands designed and manufactured by Alphacomm for the Prepaid channel.

Responsibilities

·        Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.

·        Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.

·        Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.

·        Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.

·        Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.

·        Assist with M&A activity along with integration work.

·        Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts.

·        Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.

·        In conjunction with the VP FINANCE, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

·        Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.

·        Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.

·        Board presentation development along with general FP&A projects.

·        Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

Requirements

·        Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.

·        Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential with an emphasis on building new models, analyzing large data sets and using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF () statements.

·        Displays a passionate commitment to the goals of the team and the company.

·        Ability to multitask, meet simultaneous deadlines, and effectively work under pressure.

·        BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.

·        10+ years of direct work experience required.

·        CPA preferred and MBA, CMA are pluses.

·        Role is located in Lawrenceville, GA and local candidates preferred.
