Float Chef chez Ebenezer

Job Overview:

The Float Chef/Cook will travel to various Ebenezer Senior Living communities throughout Minnesota, stepping in where needed to prepare and present delicious, nutritious meals for our senior residents/patients in our buildings.

 

Culinary Schedule includes;

• 80 hours per two-week pay period ; full time
• 10-hour shifts may be available
• Full-time day/early evening schedule, including every other weekend

Responsibilities:

• Fills in for chef vacancies at various Ebenezer locations
• Assists with special events
• Follows standardized recipes to ensure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value
• Handles and prepares food in a safe manner, following policies and procedures for infection control and safety
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment after each use or per the routine cleaning schedule
• Ability to supervise kitchen staff

Required:

• Must be 18+ years old

• Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification (FSS) OR Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) (must obtain within first 90-days).  Accept Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification from the following companies:

  • Serv Safe
  • Always Food Safe
  • TAP Series, LLC
  • Advanced Health Institute

Preferred:

• 1 to 3 years of previous experience
• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree – Food Service

Compensation: $27.00 / Flat Rate
