Summary/Objective:

DevLinks, a Tavoron company is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our growing team. The Controls Engineer will design, develop, and maintain control systems for manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment. You will work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and automation teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems and drive continuous improvement in our operations.

Essential functions:

  • Experience programming automation equipment
  • Proficient in PLC and HMIs programming / troubleshooting knowledge for packaging
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Software (Studio5000, RSLogix5000, RSLogix500), AutoCad Electrical, Kinetix, Festo, IAI motion control products
  • Machine vision(Cognex, Keyence, iRVision) experience preferred, but not required
  • Fanuc robot experience preferred but not required
  • Creating BOMs
  • Design and program safety circuits experience preferred, but not required
  • Design electrical schematics and drawings for wiring experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to adhere to UL specifications
  • Troubleshooting knowledge with electrical components and wiring and debug all systems and follow through with final performance testing
  • Familiar with 24 VDC, 120/240/480 VAC
  • Must be able to manage and work well with build and electrical team
  • Train maintenance personnel on machine operation
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects during different phases of their building.
  • Analyze CAD drawings, written specifications, miscellaneous drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations.
  • Ability and attitude to complete a project from start to finish with minimal supervision. 
  • Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)

Required education and experience:

  • Detail Oriented
  • Experience in PLC Programming
  • Proficiency is programming 
  • 5+ years Automation experience

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • None

Travel required:

  • 5-15% Field service and / or start up
