Sr. Coordinator, Costing & Pricing

Tarte Cosmetics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Coordinator, Costing & Pricing to play a pivotal role in driving our global sourcing strategies and ensuring profitability across all product categories. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, deep understanding of cost management, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for guiding cost analysis for new launches, packaging transitions, retailer exclusives, and seasonal collections—ensuring that all projects meet or exceed financial targets while maintaining our high brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Cost Analysis & Strategy
• Evaluate packaging, formula, and component proposals to develop multiple cost-of-goods scenarios for leadership decision-making.
• Partner with Product Development, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure projects align with margin and profitability goals.
• Identify and recommend cost optimization opportunities across all categories, balancing quality, brand vision, and financial performance.
• Financial Planning & Negotiation
• Oversee seasonal COGs reviews and margin analysis, ensuring profitability targets are consistently achieved.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms, leveraging volume buys and long-term partnerships.
• Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, and the impact of currency fluctuations to leadership.
• Operational Excellence
• Maintain and improve cost rollup sheets and sourcing dashboards with accurate, timely data for executive presentations.
• Manage and enhance the central costing library, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for cross-functional teams.
• Monitor category spend in real-time and proactively flag risks or opportunities.
• Analyze domestic & international pricing on a monthly basis, reviewing brand positioning amongst the competitive landscape
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as the sourcing and costing subject matter expert in cross-departmental meetings and strategy sessions.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Contribute to the development of new tools, workflows, and reporting enhancements in PLM and other systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sourcing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Finance preferred
• Minimum 2-4 years' of experience in sourcing, costing, supply chain, or procurement within a fast-paced, global organization (beauty or consumer goods industry a plus).
• Proven track record managing complex sourcing projects from concept to launch.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas) with ability to create impactful reports.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities with both internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and operate with a sense of urgency in a high-growth environment.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
