Position Overview

Cascade Public Schools is seeking a motivated and student-centered Driver’s Education Teacher to lead our comprehensive driver safety and training program. This position is a perfect opportunity for a certified educator—or someone interested in pursuing the endorsement—with a passion for helping students gain confidence and responsibility behind the wheel.

Whether you're already licensed or interested in becoming certified, Cascade is willing to support the right candidate with a potential scholarship to help cover training and certification costs.

Hourly Wage: 
$35 per hour

Position Purpose

Under the general supervision of the Principal and in accordance with state requirements, the Driver’s Education Teacher will:

• Instruct students in classroom and behind-the-wheel driving techniques

• Emphasize defensive driving habits, traffic laws, and responsible vehicle operation

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, driving hours, and progress

• Collaborate with administration to coordinate scheduling, testing, and licensure documentation

• Ensure the safety of students at all times

Qualifications

• Valid Montana Teaching Certificate (preferred) OR eligible to obtain driver’s education endorsement

• Willingness to complete a state-approved driver education certification program (with potential scholarship support)

• Clean driving record and background check

• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with teen learners

• Commitment to student safety, responsibility, and personal growth
