The Role and Responsibilities
Due to an increase in workload, a new role has arisen for a Facilities Maintenance Technician here at EnerMech. This is a full time, permanent position based at our HQ in Aberdeen. This role offers 37.5 hours a week plus overtime.
Reporting to the Facilities Lead, you will be responsible for the site's facilities maintenance & repairs, including facility improvements and larger site development projects and facilitating sub-contractor site visits. Other main duties will include;
- Ensure buildings and equipment conform with safety and quality standards.
- Responsible for facility maintenance for office, workshop, yard, and surrounding grounds.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment.
- Responsible for joinery, plumbing, painting & handy man tasks i.e. replacing ceiling tiles, patching, temperature control, fire alarms etc.
- Responsible for office relocation & providing input for office layout plans to maximise space.
- Responsible for regular maintenance checks, including inspections.
- Ensure subcontractor documentation is recorded and kept up to date, Insurance certificates & competence.
- Participating & completing sub-contractor permit to work & toolbox talk documentation packs.
- Involvement & creation of Risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks.
- Responsible for facility housekeeping.
The Requirements
To be considered for this role you will have previous experience in a similar maintenance/facilities type role. You will ideally come from a trades background and be able to undertake light joinery/plumbing tasks.
You will have good people skills and be IT literate.
