BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a Compass Call Aircraft Maintenance Equipment Technician. The equipment technician will: be responsible for the inception, inspection, accountability, and serviceability of all assigned tools and equipment. Additionally, they will coordinate, develop and maintain functions for assigned programs to meet Air Force, local (base), FAA and OSHA compliance. The candidate will monitor requirements, coordinate, sustain and manage Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and ensure compliance with all government and BAE Systems Asset Management and Accountability standards. The candidate may be assigned as the Contracted Logistics Support (CLS) focal point on all safety, health and environmental (SHE) related requirements. Candidate may also be assigned to coordinate with base Civil Engineering on all Facility Management needs/requirement.
Additional responsibilities include the following:
- Review requirements and coordinate with customers to recommend changes to tools and aircraft maintenance equipment
- Adhere to tool accountability processes to ensure program meets or exceeds Air Force and base requirements
- Maintain calibration requirements for test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) within Repair Station and local compliance standards
- Update CLS daily slides for briefings to program office, wing and group
- Ensure HAZMAT/HAZ Waste compliance with Base, Local, State and Federal Government instructions/regulations
- Coordinate with Base HAZ Pharmacy on EA-37B HAZMAT requirements
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time
Candidate may be required at times to rotationally support 1st, 2nd, 3rd or weekend shifts to support site OPTEMPO.
Deployment events will range from one to twelve consecutive weeks at a time, and will be travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill sets; works well in a team/customer environment.
- Demonstrated experience with a tool control program. Exercised knowledge in the use, inspection and maintenance of aircraft tools and test equipment through an Air Force maintenance Support Section or equivalent
- Basic experience with identifying and cleaning corrosion from tools and equipment
- Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
