During this work term, you’ll get hands-on experience with lifecycle management of servers (including building and migrating), risk management, and helping us redesign some processes.
This position requires full-time on-site presence.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleanup and life-cycling of existing servers
- Review and update the chargeback, quoting and billing process for new server builds and capacity additions
- Identify, assess, and prioritize Cloud and Data Center (CDC) risk items across the environment
- Develop and implement remediation plans for outstanding CDC risks
- Establish review and reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing attention to inventory lifecycle is maintained
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of the storage blueprint project
- Provide input and support in areas related to server management, policy standardization, and risk reduction
- Ensure that project deliverables incorporate best practices for infrastructure design and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity, drive for excellence and deep interest in technology
