Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in building maintenance and upkeep
- Have knowledge of the construction and services market, building maintenance sector, public procurement procedures, budget management, and building safety norms and standards
- Demonstrate operational skills, including mastery of negotiation techniques, ability to manage a multitude of stakeholders, and proficiency in public procurement procedures and rules
- Exhibit behavioral skills, including adaptability and flexibility, written and oral communication skills, sense of initiative, autonomy, ability to work in a team, and rigor in management and organization
- Possess fluency in English
- Experience in managing and supervising a team of maintenance workers
- Strong technical monitoring skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on innovations in building upkeep and maintenance

About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the execution of facility management activities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to the building and its systems. You will work closely with other teams to ensure that the facilities are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the FGMTC program, and that they support the delivery of high-quality training services to our customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure that facility management activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the upkeep, maintenance, and security of the Training Center building
- Implement and monitor the maintenance plan, negotiating and managing maintenance work with service providers
- Develop and manage a budget and schedule to meet cost, technical, and customer satisfaction objectives
- Diagnose the condition of the stock and identify intervention needs, ordering technical services and managing service providers as required
- Participate in developing a maintenance and upkeep plan for the building to ensure its safety and carry out technical monitoring of innovations in building upkeep and maintenance
- Select, negotiate, and manage subcontracted maintenance work, establishing a maintenance plan and translating it into service provider specifications
- Manage the building's upkeep and maintenance budget, ensuring customer satisfaction with the work ordered
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, conducting site visits and inspections as necessary
- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance workers.
