What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will:

  • Coordinate services needed by patients and families, focusing on safe administration of oncology/hematology treatments, education, and overall quality of life.
  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy/immunotherapy agents as ordered by providers, utilizing correct handling, rate, and dosage protocols.
  • Obtain and analyze laboratory specimens per policy and provider orders.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments using the nursing process to support established care plans and patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately and completely in alignment with standards of care.
  • Assess venous access, utilize and troubleshoot central venous access devices as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on the disease process, treatments, potential side effects, follow-up needs, and outcomes.
  • Provide counseling and advocacy to meet psychosocial and emotional needs of patients and families.
  • Coordinate patient care with providers, hospitals, and home health nurses to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Rotate as assigned into phone triage responsibilities, including patient calls, prescription refills, and EMR documentation (EPIC).
  • Practice ethically, respecting cultural diversity and inclusion.
  • Comply with all practice policies, procedures, and Employer’s Code of Conduct.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Nursing diploma or Associate’s Degree required; BSN or higher preferred
  • Current PA State RN licensure required
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN staff nursing experience, or one (1) year of oncology RN experience (or equivalent)
