The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) is a thriving professional medical society dedicated to optimizing patient care and improving lives through minimally invasive, image-guided treatments. SIR is a 501(c)(6) professional association that supports more than 8,100 interventional radiology physicians, trainees, medical students, scientists and clinical professionals. SIR is also comprised of SIR’s 501(c)(3) Foundation, which focuses on research and fundraising to advance the future of interventional radiology. Together SIR and SIR Foundation have nearly 50 staff, combined annual revenues of $12.6 million, and assets of nearly $17 million.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the SIR Foundation Director of Donor Engagement, the Manager, Development & Operations is critical to securing philanthropic support from SIR members, individuals and corporate partners. This position designs and drives our annual giving strategy, manages multi-channel campaigns, donor engagement, giving circles, oversees stewardship, prospect research, and strengthens our major donor pipeline. The Manager also supports special events, leads data management and supports board-based fundraising operations. This individual will work collaboratively across SIR and the SIR Foundation, serve as a highly visible ambassador to donors and volunteers, and operate in a fast-paced, mission driven environment with high autonomy and creativity.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Support the design, execution, and analysis of comprehensive annual giving and stewardship programs to acquire, retain and upgrade individual donors nationwide.
• Work with the SIR marketing and communications teams to personalize appeals and stewardship based on segment analysis, giving history and donor interests.
• Build multi-channel campaigns (mail, digital, events, social, phone) and use data insights to test, refine and report progress.
• Oversee individual donor portfolio management, including special giving societies (Giving Circles, Legacy Society and Endowment).
• Develop donor segmentation, prospect identification, and qualification, and move donors into higher giving tiers.
• Support the Director in building meaningful relationships with major gift and planned giving prospects.
• Draft proposals, create tailored materials, and schedule virtual and in-person engagement opportunities with donors and partners nationwide.
• Coordinate with program, research, marketing and communications teams to provide programmatic updates, impact stories and transparent reporting to high-level donors.
• In coordination with meetings and events team, lead logistics, communications and relationship management for key donor events (virtual and/or in-person) and donor appreciation opportunities.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and gala/event committees, ensuring high-impact donor experiences while cultivating sponsors and volunteers.
• Manage data integrity and analysis of donor and gift data within SIR Foundation’s CRM (DonorPerfect and Personify).
• Oversee list management, reporting, and segmentation for solicitation and stewardship.
• Ensure appropriate acknowledgement, pledge tracking, record-keeping, and contribution reconciliation in concert with Finance department.
• Partner with communications, program, finance, and volunteer teams, providing fundraising perspective to organizational initiatives and campaigns.
• Serve as an ambassador for the SIR Foundation’s brand, mission and programs to wide-ranging audiences both virtually and in-person.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills

• Familiarity with donor databases/CRM (DonorPerfect, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Personify, QGive, Personify, Survey Monkey Applied).
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and adapt to rapid change.
• Proven experience supporting mission-driven and community-focused work.

• Ability to travel, as needed, to attend the annual meeting and participate in occasional evening committee calls and/or weekend events.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required or 3+ years of progressively responsible and directly relevant experience; advanced degree or certificate preferred
• CFRE Certification (optional)
Experience:
• 3 – 5 years of progressive fundraising experience, with strong emphasis on annual fund, individual giving, and stewardship.
• Experience with multi-channel direct response, special event management, donor pipeline building, and major gifts engagement required.
• Experience working in a remote environment and/or with distributed teams preferred.
Location Requirements:
This is a remote position. Some travel is required for Annual Meeting and other travel for donor visits as needed.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Small, fast-paced collaborative office environment with moderate noise levels. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars. Requires general mobility to move through the facility and, at times, ability to lift to 25 pounds. Frequent interaction with internal staff and physician members/board via phone, in person, email, and other mediums. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment. Some travel primarily for annual scientific meeting.
