Position Responsibilities:
- Directs nursing operations for assigned unit with 24/7 responsibility.
- Aligns unit goals with Medical Center’s mission, vision, and leadership.
- Sets annual operating goals and objectives.
- Leads and participates in cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
- Manages unit activities through team leaders and supervisors.
- Prepares and manages operating and capital budgets.
- Monitors expenses, variances, and ensures fiscal compliance.
- Develops and remodels programs to meet unit and Medical Center goals.
- Ensures consistent, high-quality, cost-effective clinical results.
- Maintains and improves clinical care, licenses, compliance, and reporting.
- Introduces new practices to enhance patient, family, and staff satisfaction.
- Provides leadership and counseling in complex situations.
- Supports reorganization initiatives with minimal disruption.
- Manages staffing patterns and scheduling to meet unit needs.
- Serves as communication link across departments.
- Implements and monitors Performance Improvement programs.
- Engages in cross-organizational activities to improve performance.
- Maintains database systems and documentation standards.
Enforces Medical Center safety and compliance policies.
Qualifications:
FL RN License, BLS, PALS, ACLS required.
Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) required. TNCC preferred
Bachelor’s degree in nursing and/or healthcare related services preferred. Master’s degree and National Certification in Specialty Preferred.
2 + Years of experience in Nursing at Management Level.
