Role Overview: The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating effective training programs across various topics and organizational levels. This role applies adult learning principles to ensure knowledge retention and skill development, while maintaining professionalism and adaptability in both classroom and virtual environments.
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid - This role requires the associate to attend in-person training at the Jacksonville, Florida, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Raleigh, North Carolina, or Dublin, Ohio, office as necessary.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging classroom and virtual training sessions using established curricula and proven facilitation models.
- Tailor instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels across the organization.
- Schedule and conduct pre-training meetings with business units to align on goals and expectations.
- Monitor post-training performance of new hires and collaborate with leaders to address gaps.
- Observe and report performance issues to business leaders for timely intervention.
- Evaluate learners’ knowledge, skills, and aptitude (KSAs) and implement coaching strategies to meet or exceed performance standards.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with training objectives and materials.
- Analyze comfort level assessments and end-of-course evaluations to measure training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to develop new training programs and update existing content.
- Respond promptly to ad hoc requests, feedback, and scope changes in a dynamic work environment.
- Maintain accurate training attendance records in compliance with retention policies.
- Stay proficient in all supported Lines of Business (LOB) through ongoing engagement with operations teams.
- Identify and report content or system issues related to training platforms and tools (e.g., Online Help, Facets, HEAL)
Education & Experience:
- An associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a learning or training environment preferred.
- Instructional design experience, particularly in lesson planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
