Corporate Communications Content Specialist, Full Time, Easton PA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Corporate Content Specialist will create engaging content on both the external corporate (Colorful Careers) social media channels and on the internal Crayola Connect intranet. This role will keep LinkedIn current and relevant with company and brand focused content, while seeking out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences. This person will be responsible for brainstorming campaigns, developing, and maintaining a social media calendar, creating social media posts, and day-to-day management of the company’s Corporate Communications social media properties under the guidance of the Manager, Executive Communications. 

The Corporate Content Specialist will also be responsible for creating a best-in-class intranet.  This person will be responsible for creating engaging content and communication campaigns for Crayola Connect.  This will include day-to-day management of Crayola Connect, collaborating with employees across the organization to ensure engaging, relevant, timely content is posted. Reviewing analytics and industry trends to continuously improve the intranet. They will research and write stories for company events, recognition of company achievements, and internal promotion of Crayola products and programs.

The Corporate Content Specialist will be an excellent communicator, a versatile creative writer, have excellent time management skills, stay current with industry trends, and be a collaborative team player.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop video content for use on Crayola social media channels, Crayola Connect, and for internal communications. Must be able to film and edit videos.
  • Admin for the Crayola Connect CMS site, train new Connectors when needed, update training materials and style guides, lead quarterly intranet governance meetings, and share monthly, quarterly, and yearly intranet analytics.
  • This role will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of Crayola TV and creating communication plans to help employees better understand company events, initiatives, strategy and business updates.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive communication campaigns and post relevant content on corporate social media channels, since many times this content overlaps.
  • Work collaboratively with the Content Team and Manager, Executive Communications to develop a multi-platform social media strategy and ensure goals of both departments are being served on their respective platforms.
  • Provide technical and communication support for State of the Business meeting, Town Halls, and other company meetings.
  • Create a monthly newsletter for hourly manufacturing and CE employees.
  • Create LinkedIn content that promotes the Company and increases engagement of potential job candidates. Prepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts and adapt and modify strategy and company social media practices based on findings.
  • Support planning employee engagement events such as Dorney Day, picnic, employee resource group events, and the United Way campaign.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in Corporate writing or Social Media Content Creation and Strategy
  • Expertise in developing content for Social Media Platforms, included but not limited to, LinkedIn, and effective usage of MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop or similar video, photo, and print editing software.
  • Experience in corporate communications (corporate brand to consumer), developing strategy and content for corporate communications a plus
  • Experience in a social media editorial environment with knowledge of industry standard workflows and project management best practices
  • Experience writing and editing content and stories for publication
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to solve problems creatively, with limited time and resources.
