Hourly range $19 - $25/hour

Our clients rely on you to educate them about their animal companions and you get to hone your skills in full-service practice that sees a range of cases from emergencies and wellness/prevention to chronic medical diseases. On surgery days, we perform a range of procedures and we collaborate with boarded mobile specialists for orthopedics and advanced imaging modalities, providing an environment primed for growth.
What we need: The senior position calls for a minimum of 8 years vet tech experience in a full-service GP practice or ER / specialty setting or a combination of these.

Senior Tech Expected Skills:
-Place IV catheters
-Record keeping
-Be able to calculate drug doses – turning milligrams into milliliters
-Prepare and read various cytologies
-Know how to perform CPR
-Be able to triage and help stabilize the urgent patient
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, dental cleanings, scaling
and taking dental x-rays
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments as well as
post-operatively
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Proper positioning of pets when obtaining whole body or musculoskeletal x-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring of animals
- Maintain veterinary equipment and instruments
-Motivated self-starter that take initiative
