SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing and directing sales plans within the Community Preparedness Sales division. This position provides vision and guidance to the respective team and is responsible for executing sales plans and achieving sales goals for their division as prescribed by the company. The Senior Director position may also create or have direct input in sales campaigns and marketing initiatives while providing direction, setting standards for the market segment, and training sales personnel. The position will recommend product innovations and new products for the market.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Acts as the front-line manager and primary link between senior leadership and sales staff, manages respective market segment, communicating strategy and driving execution.
- Direct managerial responsibility for a small Community Preparedness Sales team, including administrative oversight, hiring, coaching, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Empowered to set individual and team goals, assign accounts/territories, and approve schedules to ensure coverage and productivity.
- Assist in shaping and executing strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives within the assigned market segment.
- Lead day-to-day sales activities, including forecasting, pipeline reviews, and team coaching.
- Set clear performance goals and metrics for the sales team, monitoring progress and providing feedback.
- Conduct and review market analyses to identify customer needs, pricing strategies, and product opportunities.
- Manage channel development and coordinate sales efforts with key accounts and partners.
- Support suppliers, distributors, and clients with sales and promotional techniques as needed.
- Interpret sales data and trends to recommend tactical adjustments for improved performance.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote products and network with prospects.
- Deliver presentations and proposals to key customers, building long-term relationships.
- Maintain strong, direct relationships with critical accounts, ensuring satisfaction and growth.
- Monitor and control team and segment-related expenditures to align with budgetary requirements.
- Prepare periodic sales reports outlining performance, opportunities, and potential areas for market expansion.
- Track competitor activities and industry trends, providing insights to leadership and the team.
- Partner with marketing to develop and refine sales collateral, catalogs, and other promotional materials.

ACCOUNTABILITY
- Managerial responsibility of the Community Preparedness Sales Team, including all administrative functions, hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversight of performance management, including setting goals, conducting evaluations, and implementing development plans.
- Authority to approve schedules, assign territories, and allocate resources to meet sales objectives.
- Direct responsibility for enforcing company policies, compliance standards, and operational procedures within the team.
- Budgetary oversight and decision-making within approved limits for departmental expenses and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public safety, business, or related field preferred
Competency and Skills
- Understand NAR products to be able to effectively bring them to market and meet company sales goals
- Communicates proficiently with other Sales team members
- Possesses knowledge of the medical industry with various products
- Displays business acumen, performance management, organization, and presentation skills
- Identifies and resolves problems in sales processes
- Demonstrates a team-oriented mindset and the technical capacity to fulfill duties
Experience
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in the public safety field preferred
- Minimum of three years of previous sales experience preferred
- Minimum of three years of previous management experience preferred

- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours each week from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or some variation thereof
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
Travel
- Must have transportation to and from headquarters
- Able to travel up to 70%.
