By spending your year in industry with us, you will:
Apply your learning in one of the most technically demanding global sports
Take on responsibility as you are supported and trained throughout your year
Join us for a year-long placement from the end of June 2026 to the end of July 2027
Work in a fast-paced environment at our state-of-the-art factory in Brackley, United Kingdom

As an Industrial Placement in Technology Engineering (Applied Science):
You will be an integral part of the team. We have two roles available: one focusing on creating or updating the technology used in the development of F1, and one working on exciting customer programmes in many sectors including motorsport and aerospace.
Customer programmes have an impressive client portfolio which means the work is varied, challenging and exciting. Ingenuity, lateral thinking and problem solving are just some of the requirements that you will need, but a keenness to participate with and learn from the existing team is paramount.
Successful candidates will:
Have a strong background in mechanical engineering or physics-based disciplines and have some knowledge of 3D CAD. Commitment and a focussed approach will be required along with attention to detail whilst working in a fast paced and challenging environment
Have at least one year remaining on your current course or be enrolled on your next course* from the point at which you start your placement with us (Please note that if you will be enrolled on a Masters or PhD course you will need to be able to evidence enrolment to confirm eligibility)
Have flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with a ‘can do’, ‘team-playing’ attitude and the ability to work to strict deadlines under minimal supervision
Be adaptable, have a proactive mindset, a collaborative approach and thrive in a team environment
Show determination and resilience when facing challenges
Have keen attention to detail
It does not matter whether you already have an interest in motorsport or not: we are looking for candidates who are passionate about reaching their full potential and are excited about constantly learning.
Additional desirable criteria:
Hands on experience in an engineering environment
Skills you could gain from your placement include:
Real world problem solving
Clean sheet design using 3D CAD and simulation tools
Project Planning and workload management
