General Description

 

The Systems Admin is responsible for supporting and maintaining Conifer’s technology infrastructure, systems integrations, and end-user environments. Primary areas of focus include system maintenance, upgrades, architecture, security, networking, and governance. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage issues both remotely and in person. Client interaction is expected and must be conducted with professionalism at all times.

Server & Directory Services


+ Manage Active Directory and Group Policy

+ Manage Windows Server environment (updates, maintenance, backups, scheduling, architecture)

+ Manage RADIUS authentication


Cloud & SaaS Platforms


+ Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory

+ Manage Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)

+ Administer Azure and AWS resources


Security & Governance


+ Conduct litigation holds, access reviews, and audit log reviews

+ Coordinate with vendors for security auditing and compliance


Imaging & Deployment


+ Maintain Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)

+ Update Windows 10/11 images and driver packages


Networking


+ Administer Cisco Meraki environments

+ Troubleshoot network issues

+ Design and maintain LAN/WAN/cloud networks

+ Configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems

+ Coordinate network hardware procurement and vendor installations

+ Maintain network documentation and security configurations


General


+ Collaborate with external vendors as needed

+ Provide support for SharePoint

+ Perform additional IT tasks or projects as assigned

 

Experience

 

+ Minimum 1+ years of experience supporting infrastructure in a predominantly Windows and Microsoft 365-based environment.

+ Familiarity with project management principles, ITIL, and business process improvement methodologies preferred.

+ Thorough understanding of IT best practices with the ability to coach, mentor, and support end users and helpdesk staff.


Technical  Experience


+ Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Active Directory (AD), and Azure AD

+ Experience deploying and managing  Windows 10/11 via Autopilot and Endpoint Manager

+ Skilled in Group Policy administration

+ Experience with Veeam backup solutions

+ Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and Cisco enterprise products

+ Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation

+ Experience with iOS and iPadOS device support

+ VOIP administration experience

+ Experience supporting macOS devices and Jamf (preferred)

+ Printer management via Windows Server (preferred)

 

EDUCATION

 

+ Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related   field, or equivalent experience.

+ Preferred certifications include: Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Endpoint   Manager (Intune), Windows OS, Power Platform, and SharePoint.

+ Self-sufficient, adaptable, and capable of independent problem-solving

+ Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

+ Professional judgment, work ethic, and ability to maintain confidentiality

+ Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies

+ Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.

+ Flexibility to travel for site visits, meetings, trainings, and events, including occasional overnight   stays.

+ Willingness to work extended hours or adjust schedule as needed.


Physical Requirements

+ Light work that may require waling, stooping, crouching and lifting up to 30 lbs. on occasion.

+ May be sitting for extended periods of time.

The salary rage for this position is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
