Briljent is seeking a highly skilled Health Strategy and Innovation (HIS) Analyst to support a specialized consulting engagement. This role will focus on conducting a comprehensive 90-day drug inventory assessment with a forward-looking lens on how drug inventory management systems should adapt in the event of another public health emergency or pandemic. The engagement is expected to average 25–30 hours per week and will result in a written report with actionable insights, best practices, and benchmarking analysis.

Essential Duties


Project Engagement

  • Lead the 90-Day Drug Inventory Assessment, with focus on:
    • Evaluating current practices for tracking critical drug inventory.
    • Assessing where and how drug inventory is distributed across systems.
    • Exploring the feasibility of daily inventory tracking and monitoring.
    • Identifying gaps and areas for improvement in the event of another pandemic.
  • Conduct benchmarking research and interviews with other states to gather best practices, policies, and lessons learned.
  • Perform market assessments of existing and emerging tracking approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal HSI Analysts and project team members to align findings with client      objectives.

Analysis and Documentation

  • Gather and analyze data from stakeholder interviews, research, and state-level benchmarking.
  • Develop visualizations, workflows, and support artifacts that communicate findings effectively.
  • Contribute to project documentation, including status updates and client-facing summaries.
  • Maintain thorough and organized records within project systems and SharePoint.

Deliverable Development

  • Produce a comprehensive written report summarizing assessment findings, benchmarking, and market analysis.
  • Develop clear, actionable recommendations for drug inventory tracking improvements.
  • Ensure deliverables meet Briljent’s quality standards and align with project objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in drug inventory management, public health analysis, or related systems.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate interviews with state-level      stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to produce client-ready deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with collaborative platforms (SharePoint, Qualtrics, etc.).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience in Public Health, Health Information Management, Business Analysis, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in public health programs, drug inventory systems, or health IT analysis.
  • Prior consulting or assessment experience is strongly preferred.

  • Type: Consulting engagement with defined deliverable.
  • Hours: Average of 25–30 hours per week.
  • Location: Remote.
  • Deliverable: Comprehensive written report summarizing findings and recommendations.
