Job Description:About People + Place Advisory
People + Place Advisory (PPA) is a strategic consultancy within AECOM focused on creating places that drive organizational performance and enhance human wellbeing. With a 50-year legacy optimizing the relationship between people, place, and performance. We are a multi-disciplinary team of strategists who bring an evidence-based and user-centered design approach to our clients’ challenges, helping them elevate the experience of their spaces. PPA generates innovative solutions for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local and national governments.
About the role
As a Strategy Consultant, you will contribute to multiple strategy and design projects under the guidance of project managers, project leads, and senior consultants. You may:
- Support space programming and planning by attending interviews and developing program reports
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data gathered from multiple sources and assist in developing findings into meaningful insights
- Develop visuals, infographics, and conceptual illustrations for reports and presentations
- Assist in the creation and facilitation of stakeholder workshops, collect primary and secondary user research, and conduct other data collection.
- Support and contribute to organizational change management engagements
- Conduct and analyze on-line surveys
As part of our U.S.-based strategy studio, you will also contribute to internal initiatives such as team meetings, knowledge-sharing, and practice-building efforts.
While our clients span a wide range of industries and space types, a good portion of our focus is on workplace strategy for federal clients. Most work will be performed from your local AECOM office and/or virtually, with travel up to 15% of the time (primarily within the U.S., with some global opportunities).
This position is tied to one of PPA’s primary studio locations, New York, Boston, Washington D.C., or Los Angeles and follows a hybrid schedule requiring in-office collaboration.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in a field related to strategy development (e.g., workplace strategy, interior design, architecture, planning, real estate, sociology, anthropology, or organizational behavior) plus two years of related experience
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with space planning and programming, design strategy.
- Experience with data analysis (qualitative and quantitative excel-based data)
- Familiarity with organizational change management
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Visual communication skills, particularly in infographics and conceptual illustrations
- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Virtual collaboration platforms, such as Miro and Mural
- Data analytics and visualization programs, such as PowerBI and Tableau
- AI software applications or platforms
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
