Position Summary
Help desk technicians are vital to the IT workforce, as they keep the technologies that organizations rely on to do business up-to-date and running smoothly. IT help desk technicians provide technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users who need assistance with their computer hardware or software.
Essential functions
- Workstation support, custom application support.
- Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
- Answer call from end users regarding desktop, software and hardware issues.
- Provide help and training to staff with equipment/software issues.
- Troubleshoot problems between operating systems in Windows, IOS AND Mac OS.
- Troubleshoot desktops, Ipads, laptops (software/hardware) problems for users.
- Install, upgrade and maintain desktop, Ipads and laptop configurations.
- Assist in creation and maintenance of network user accounts.
- Help setup Temporary employee and new employees.
- Help with implementation and documentation to any/all changes to systems.
- Assist in maintenance of asset information.
- Handle daily projects that are assigned.
- Work with 3rd party vendors.
- Helps Daily maintenance on network.
- Support of RF scanners and wireless system.
- Follow-up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
- Good with project management software and ticket systems.

Supervisory responsibilities
- No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
- Typical office environment with standard equipment and tasks.
- Position requires work at a computer/video display terminal and desk for extensive periods of time.
- Must Be Willing to Work Overtime, Holidays and Rotating Shifts.
Physical demands
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required for this position this position.
- Requires regular twisting/turning/squatting/bending/reaching/lifting and prolonged periods at a stationary/mobile work station.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 20 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.

Required education and experience
Education
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of experience working in a help desk environment
- Certified in A+ or other network certificates
