Responsibilities We’ll Help You Master

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus.
• Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
• Actively plans, coordinates, and participates with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
• Instructs, supports and participates in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.

The Ideal Candidate

• Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
• Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
• Should have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or with other types of special needs populations
• Someone who enjoys being an outdoors and is interested in cooking and baking.
• Should have an understanding of respect for individual's home and space and expectations of the Ardmore.
• Must be willing to work in both the community and home settings, a good driving record is required.
• Be resourceful in researching community activities.
