Skillforce is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Coatings (IC) Foreman for a direct hire opportunity with our client! Sign on bonus and relocation assistance are available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in regular production meetings to align on goals and progress. 
- Receive, verify, and properly store steel components, coatings, and related materials. 
- Prepare the Declaration of Coating Product for each production lot daily. 
- Ensure coating materials are stored according to manufacturer specifications. 
- Confirm all team members understand and follow work instructions and safety protocols. 
- Oversee all coating activities to ensure compliance with application standards. 
- Ensure all inspector-identified corrections and repairs are completed accurately. 
- Lead and manage the coatings team to meet project timelines and production targets. 
- Track daily production progress and update corresponding Route Sheets. 
- Supervise all safety procedures within the work area. 
- Ensure accurate labeling and proper storage of all coating materials. 
- Manage and protect customer-supplied materials throughout production. 
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Production Technicians and Painters. 
- Reinforce proper coating techniques and adherence to quality standards. 
- Promote consistent communication and application of the quality management system. 
- Utilize computer systems and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation. 
- Apply knowledge of AMPP, SSPC, and QP3 industry codes and standards. 
- Perform additional duties or special projects as needed. 
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required. 
- AMPP Level I Certification or higher preferred. 
- Strong understanding of industrial coatings and blueprint reading. 
- Working knowledge of coating code standards (AMPP, SSPC, QP3). 
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems. 
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per shift. 
- Capable of bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods. 
- Dexterity and mobility in upper limbs (shoulders, arms, hands, wrists). 
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. 
- Able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 75 lbs occasionally. 
- Comfortable working in loud, dusty, hot, or cold environments. 
- Must be able to climb ladders as needed. 
- A valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel between job sites. 
Schedule:
- This is a night shift position: 4:30pm-3:00am
- 4 day work week
Pay and Benefits:
- $31-$33/hr
- Additional $1.50/hr for night shift differential
- Attendance incentive starting at an additional $1.50/hr
