About the Role
BDO is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor (not client facing). The Internal Auditor is responsible for assessing and strengthening the organisation’s risk management and internal control framework. They conduct audits, assess internal controls, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and governance. Strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to professional standards are essential for success in this role.
This is a great opportunity to build out a function with the Manager; so we are looking for someone who is confident working autonomously with a go-getter attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management systems and operational processes
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement
Provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, financial reporting, and compliance
Prepare audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations
Ensure adherence to industry standards, policies, and legal requirements, including the Global Internal Audit Standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness within the firm.
About You

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in internal auditing
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) designation, or actively working towards certification (desirable)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and reporting abilities
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
