Dematic's software engineering team in Belrose is rapidly expanding as we deliver state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics automation projects across APAC. We're seeking a dynamic Software Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of our advanced IQ Warehouse Control System (WCS) projects.
Dematic’s IQ WCS is the intelligent engine that powers modern warehouse and distribution centres. As the real-time control layer, it orchestrates seamless synchronisation between material handling equipment and automated systems within a warehouse or distribution center. It is the brain of our automation solutions.

Tasks and Qualifications:
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
Lead the successful delivery of software projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, budget adherence
Develop and effectively communicate comprehensive project plans and schedules
Manage project scope and control changes effectively
Coordinate and deliver all customer project deliverables
Generate clear and concise project status reports
Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering strong, professional relationships
Serve as a buffer for the technical team to minimise disruptions and maintain focus on core deliverables
Ensure adherence to standard work processes and execution frameworks (e.g., ISO compliance)
Understand solution designs and simulations to ensure project alignment
Coordinate multi-disciplinary project activities both in-house and on-site to ensure smooth execution
SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering discipline
5+ years software project management experience preferred
PMP certification or a similar certification preferred
1+ years of industrial automation industry experience (WMS or WCS) a plus
Willingness to travel 20-50% (interstate and international), dependent on project phase and needs
Technical Skills:
Proven success in delivering complex, real-time IT projects
Proven ability to manage both internal technical resources and set expectations with the end customers
In-depth understanding of software development life cycle
Managing project teams in Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid methodologies
Delivering software systems in real-time environments
Microsoft platforms (Windows Server, SQL Server, MS Project, MS Visio, and other tools)
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and TestRail, TFS, and / or other tools
Demonstratable understanding of the supply chain and automation marketplace
