Everett Ship Repair is the Pacific Northwest’s Premier Ship Repair Facility. Founded in 2019, Everett Ship Repair offers vast ship repair capabilities from its facility in Everett, Washington, including repair, maintenance, and conversion services for any type of commercial vessels, with focus on commercial workboats and passenger vessels. We are now seeking a Scaffolding Foreman to lead and supervise scaffold operations across the shipyard. This individual will be responsible for planning, erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding to support ship repair and construction projects. The Scaffolding Foreman will ensure compliance with safety standards, coordinate with multiple trades, and provide daily leadership to scaffold crews to complete work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules.
What You will Do:
- Lead and supervise scaffold crews, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA/WISHA standards, company safety policies, and scaffold regulations.
- Plan and coordinate scaffolding requirements for dry dock and shipyard projects.
- Inspect scaffolding regularly for safety, stability, and compliance with design specifications.
- Train and mentor scaffold team members in proper techniques, fall protection, and safe work practices.
- Maintain inventory of scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with rigging, crane, and production teams to support vessel access and heavy lift needs.
- Provide daily updates to management on scaffold operations and crew performance.
Qualifications
What You Bring to Our Team:
- 5+ years of scaffolding experience in a marine, industrial, or construction environment.
- Experience as a Foreman, Leadman, or similar supervisory role.
- Certified Scaffold Competent Person (OSHA/WISHA).
- Journeyman-level experience as a rigger and/or forklift operator preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of shipyard safety protocols and confined space work practices.
- Ability to read and interpret scaffold drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to climb, balance, and work at heights using fall protection equipment.
- Work in varying weather conditions within a shipyard environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks daily.
