3-Dimensional Services Group is seeking a Maintenance Lead for our CNC department at our Lapeer facility. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, ensuring continuity and reliability of CNC machining operations. The Maintenance Lead will develop preventive maintenance strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Track and manage departmental activities including inventory of spare parts, vendor services, and cost-saving initiatives.
 - Develop, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance tasks for CNC equipment (lathes, mills, automation equipment). Ensure accurate recordkeeping of preventive maintenance activities.
 - Provide guidance and hands-on support in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults. Use root-cause analysis to reduce downtime.
 - Ensure CNC machines and automation systems are aligned, calibrated, and operating at peak performance. Coordinate with outside vendors for complex repairs or upgrades.
 - Identify and implement opportunities to improve machine uptime, reliability, safety, and efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational goals.
 - Work closely with production, engineering and other maintenance teams to support equipment needs and ensure minimal production interruptions.

Qualifications
Education/Special Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a relate field preferred.
 - Technical expertise in CNC maintenance and repair.
 
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience maintaining CNC machining equipment.
 - Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
 - Experience with CNC/PLC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Heidenhain, or similar platforms).
 - Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
 - OSHA 10/30, LOTO, and electrical safety training preferred
