Boone Memorial Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team full-time. The RN will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing or a similar acute care setting to ensure readiness for the demands of this role.

Who We Are

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, along with a network of clinics and specialty services throughout Boone County and beyond. Our ER team provides rapid, patient-centered care to individuals facing medical emergencies, trauma, and acute illness. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, assessment, treatment, and evaluation.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions per physician orders and hospital protocols.

• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond quickly to emergent needs.

• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Support patients and families with education, communication, and emotional support during crises.

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of West Virginia

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department or similar acute care setting preferred. 

• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
