Draken is currently seeking a Logistics Technician to support Draken operations near Holloman AFB, New Mexico.

Position Overview : Logistics Technician

Conduct logistics actions associated with customer requests for Field Operations. Support operations by conducting the shipping, receiving, and warehousing of parts.   

DUTIES/DESCRIPTION   

  • Loads new part numbers in Flightdocs system for inventory requests  

  • Manage all inventory requests; send notifications of pulls/shipments to meet demand.  

  • Generate Purchase Orders within Flightdocs from unfilled inventory requests  

  • Manage weekly reports to ensure assets within aircraft locations have been cleared.  

  • Accountable for all expenditures/financials in accordance with company policies  

  • Assist with all incoming/outgoing material, both physically and Flightdocs system  

  • Verify items received, comparing part/serial number, condition and quantity.  

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures of the logistics program  

  • Ensure compliance with ITAR requirements as well as all import/export actions  

  • Ensure accountability of all logistics documents; physically and systematically  

  • Duty rotation for two-shift operation as directed by Logistics Manager

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma/GED 

  • Must have at least 4 years of experience related to aviation logistics and inventory  

  • Must have experience working with inventory management software.  

  • Must have experience with warehouse functions; Ability to operate a forklift

  • Must be able to multitask and have great attention to detail  

  • Able to obtain and maintain secret security clearance.  

  • Military experience and forklift experience is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT    

  • Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.  

  • Special vision abilities required are close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.  

  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.  

  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.  

  • May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft. • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
