Job Description:
CES Power is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AP Supervisor to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely management of the Accounts Payable function. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, purchase order matching, approval workflows and payment runs in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve invoices, ensuring appropriate coding, purchase order application, documentation and authorization prior to payment.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and automation to streamline accounts payable workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Reconcile accounts payable subledger(s) to the general ledger to ensure integration accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor AP aging reports and collaborate with Treasury and the CFO to prioritize and process weekly payment runs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including timely response to inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and communication of payment timing.
  • Review and reconcile key vendor statements to ensure completeness and accuracy of our AP subledger.
  • Manage accounts payable team, including the assignment of work tasks and monitoring of performance.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate accruals, timely month-end closing, and accurate and timely financial reporting related to accounts payable.
  • Accurately prepare IRS Form 1099s for all applicable vendors annually.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Work with other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations as needed.

 

Qualifications


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of working in a supervisory role within accounts payable
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (NetSuite, Bill.com and ProcureDesk experience a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
