Computer Scientist I - Soft Decom chez JT4, LLC

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

What You Will Do with JT4

The Soft Decom Computer Scientist will program software and follow systems engineering tasks within a working group. You will identify potential risks, adhere to technical guidance, foster collaboration, properly comment out code & headers, and meet scheduled goals.

Job Duties & Essential Functions

• Strong Docker and Linux skills
• Understanding of network programming (TCP/IP, UDP, socket programming)
• Data de-commutation principles with an understanding of time synchronization, real-time systems, and data serialization formats
• Capable technical writing skills and verbal communication
• Familiarity with telemetry standards (IRIG 106, IRIG 218-10)
• Develop and testing the Soft Decom system
• Develop a high-resolution time stream with monotonic properties
• Implement a web interface for configuration and control

The incumbent must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $157,000.
