Job Description:
DTN is seeking a Product Manager to contribute to the development and execution of our product strategy for innovative SaaS solutions that leverage weather, business intelligence, and AI/ML to solve operational challenges for our customers. This role will be crucial in shaping the next phase of profitable growth in our weather and climate intelligence platforms.
As a key member of our product team, you will lead the integration of customer risk communication experiences into our next-generation weather intelligence platform, empowering organizations to make better decisions when facing weather-related challenges. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights that deliver measurable business value across industries.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Lead the development of product roadmaps for risk communication features that align with our next-generation weather intelligence platform strategy.
Prioritize engineering efforts based on customer needs, market research, and business impact.
Articulate new features and priorities through epics and user stories, enabling engineering teams to understand rationale and customer impact.
Customer Discovery & Market Research
Lead structured customer discovery processes, including interviews, hypothesis testing, and product validation.
Partner with sales and marketing to define and execute go-to-market strategies for new offerings.
Research industry trends in risk communication and data intelligence to inform product decisions.
Product Execution
Build strong relationships with engineering, design, and weather operations teams.
Support the migration strategy from legacy platforms to next-generation solutions.
Contribute to peril intelligence innovation efforts to enhance customer decision-making capabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and End-of-Sprint Demos.
Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand operational challenges and decision-making needs.
Balance subject matter expert input with customer insights to guide product direction.
Metrics & Performance
Monitor key product performance metrics and contribute to continuous product improvements.
Apply data-driven decision making to product development and feature prioritization.
Demonstrate understanding of how AI/ML techniques can enhance risk communication and decision support.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
3+ years of proven B2B SaaS Product Management experience in agile environments, with end-to-end product ownership (not consulting, operations, or program management).
Strong track record of leading customer discovery initiatives and translating findings into product strategy and execution.
Exceptional customer-facing communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts, inspire confidence, and lead high-stakes discussions.
Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Basic understanding of financial concepts and product economics.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Background in communications, emergency management, risk-related domains, or data-intensive SaaS products. Direct meteorology experience not required.
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
Familiarity with emergency management or risk communication principles.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $110,000 and $135,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
