Overview

The Strategy and Business Development department has a vacancy for a highly motivated individual to join the Renewable Fuels Compliance group at the Findlay, Ohio Campus.  The successful candidate will have strong organization, interpersonal and communications, and be able to work in a team environment.  You will collaborate with various renewable feedstock suppliers that MPC contracts with.  You will be required to use MPC and Vendor developed web and mainframe based portals, internally developed server based applications, and MS Office Suite programs.  

The position is located in Findlay, OH and reports to the Regulatory Assurance Feedstock Manager.

This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency and skill level. The final position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • As a member of the Renewable Fuels Feedstock Team, work with feedstock suppliers, feedstock terminal personnel, processing facilities, and internal accounting to gather, validate, and input the necessary data into mainframe systems and other internal systems
  • Acts as a customer representative with feedstock suppliers to work through initial questions related to company compliance requirements and to correct any missing or incorrect data supplied by the suppliers
  • Uses a variety of spreadsheets and/or software applications to input, review, and reconcile project records
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders in communicating the feedstock data as required and other project data
  • Assist with the onboarding of new suppliers/facilities within the internal systems and ensure controls are in place to capture the necessary information
  • Supports the development and long-term maintenance of project documents. Maintains knowledge of department practices and procedures, and how they apply to work functions Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Must develop and maintain strong business, interpersonal, and operations acumen
  • Patient, friendly and enthusiastic customer service orientation
  • Computer Proficiencies: Basic computer keyboard skills required
  • Experience with or basic knowledge of Internet based portals and the Web in general
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Word, Outlook, with an emphasis on Excel.

Work Experience:

  • Two or more years of relevant support experience required
  • Administrative or financial experience a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred but not required
