About the Role:
The Field Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and integrating all field-wide commissioning activities from the FPU sail-away through to Ready for Startup (RFSU). The role will deliver an integrated offshore plan, ensure execution readiness, manage the commissioning schedule / budget, and ensure safe and efficient offshore execution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Offshore Execution Planning (Houston-Based)
- Refine and optimize the commissioning plan and schedule.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (SURF, FSO Delivery, Operational Readiness, FPU Commissioning Manager, Contractors).
- Refine commissioning logic flow diagrams.
- Deliver handover and acceptance plans, VCRs, and progress tracking tools (in coordination with Operations).
- Manage commissioning resources and contractor performance.
- Coordinate smooth transition from FPU shipyard to offshore (carry-over planning).
- Planning of FPU marshalling yard carry-over / commissioning activities, including yard preparation and contract management.
- Support development and execution of contracting strategies and logistics planning.
FPU Marshalling Yard & Offshore Execution (Offshore Rotation)
- Accountable for management and execution of FPU marshalling yard and offshore commissioning scopes
- Manage critical internal and external interfaces including timely coordination of 3rd party support for commissioning activities
- Act as safety leader for HUC scope and manage SIMOPs.
- Validate functional testing, system integration, and performance verification of topsides and subsea systems.
- Coordination with Operational Readiness for System Handover walkdowns
- Management and delivery of VCR / other Certificates
- Support operations during startup and ensure dossier completeness.
General Responsibilities
- Serve as Woodside’s commissioning focal point post sail-away.
- Ensure schedule, budget, quality and safety targets are met.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment and integration into the offshore plan
- Review contractor deliverables and facilitate coordination meetings.
- Promote continuous improvement and manage technical queries.

Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, etc.).
- 10+ years in offshore commissioning management (preferably deepwater FPU/FPSO).
- Experience leading integrated teams and managing subcontractors.
- Proficiency with commissioning tools/databases.
- Offshore certifications (BOSIET, HUET, medical clearance) required or obtainable.
