Position Summary
The Manager of Training Design and Delivery oversees the Training and Instructional Design (ID) teams, including hiring, development, and performance management of both onsite and remote staff. This role partners with stakeholders to align training strategies with business goals, ensuring high-impact learning experiences for field teams and customers. It drives innovation and continuous improvement through data-driven assessments, diverse learning channels, and emerging technologies. The manager is also responsible for maintaining compliance, tracking training effectiveness, and promoting a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH Corporate HQ.
What You'll do as a Manager, Training Design & Delivery
- Manage team of direct reports, including hiring, training and development of staff, defining performance objectives, engagement, and performance reviews. May include onsite, remote staff, and contingent labor.
- Partner with key stakeholders to create a best-in-class approach that balances business needs and long-term learning strategy that addresses the training requirements of the field teams and external Customers.
- Drive and promote transformative change and innovation, providing the direction, inspiration and excellence required from a world class health care organization.
- Develop and deliver a variety of learning channels, including on-the-job learning, internal coaching and mentoring, virtual classroom and e-learning, and high-quality classroom training.
- Actively engage with Field Leaders to assess role-based skill progression, using data and feedback to measure impact, prioritize content changes and continuous improvements.
- Conduct annual needs assessment to understand the learning and knowledge needs of the business; curate and/or develop solutions and report on the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Design metrics and reporting to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability and scalability. Provides business with progress updates, quarterly dashboards, and analytics.
- Analyze and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking sustainable processes.
- Ensure all technical training records for the Service organization are maintained in approved systems and all compliance standards with effective controls.
- Promotes a learning strategy in which continuous learning is supported and prioritized.
- Identify emerging technologies, best practices and trends and make recommendations on those that will best support the learning agenda, audience, and business needs.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 8 years of work-related experience in the design, development and delivery of adult learning across different functions in a complex environment, technical training experience preferred. In lieu of degree 16 years relative experience which may include Instructional Design or training certifications or combination of both.
- 3+ years of people management with demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills including ability to coach and deliver feedback in a constructive manner and ability to communicate information clearly and concisely required.
- Deep technical experience with learning platforms, tools and technology to create and cultivate a learning community required.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a large, public, multi-state and multi-national company preferred.
- Experience in a technical environment is preferred.
- Instructional Design experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Demonstrated in problem solving, and ability to lead teams through changing priorities and high-volume work periods with positive employee outcomes.
- Ability to develop and manage training metrics and reporting, forecast resource needs and flexibly address them within time and budget, including engaging and managing contract or supplemental resources as needed.
- Demonstrated consulting skills for the purpose of partnering with the business in the identification/development of competencies to ensure proficiency goals are achieved and content is integrated appropriately.
Travel:
- Estimated to be 10% domestic travel

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,737.50 - $117,425.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
