Description
Job Purpose
- Provide medical and non-medical emergency response services, site safety and operational support for remote work sites across XOM assets.
- Assist with management of safeguards to prevent, mitigate and manage personal and work-related employee injuries and illnesses.
Manage Safeguards
- Health
- Assists with developing and implementing site specific medical emergency response plan. (MERP)
- Ensures MERP is adhered to.
- Provides onsite patient assessment and care.
- Coordinates routine, urgent and emergent patent transportation to and from appropriate medical facilities.
- Monitors outbreaks, ongoing illnesses or injuries via onsite patient follow ups and documentation within electronic medical record (EMR).
- Works closely with XMD and XOM, physicians and nurse case managers, to ensure best patient care.
- Same day completion of required XMD and XOM documentation and reporting.
- Provide no less than 24-hour patient follow-up for all injuries and illnesses.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- On-site drug testing (Urine, Alcohol)

- Job Hazard/Safety Analysis.
- i-Scout Review.
- Incident and Accident Documentation, Investigation, Reporting and Preservation of evidence.
- Remains knowledgeable and up to date in XMD and XOM and regulatory agencies (OSHA etc.) policies and protocols.
- Equipment and Supplies
- Assist with management of XOM AED Program.
- When applicable, assist in performing and documenting daily/weekly/monthly inspections of vehicles, equipment and materials as per XTO/XOM, XMD, local and governmental regulations to include:
- First Aid Equipment
- Remote Emergency Medical Management (REMM) bags
- Onsite Diagnostics
- Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV’s)
- Where applicable, maintains competency in the use of onsite telemedicine, laboratory, and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform onsite occupational and biometric testing as requested by XTO/XOM.
- Education & Training
Participates in customer approved and recommended training:
- Rescue Team Participation.
- Helicopter Landing Zone Training.
- Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP) and Drills:

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 3 years of medical experience in an ambulance or emergency room setting.
• At least 1 year of industrial medical experience in a remote medical environment
preferred.
• At least 1 year of jobsite safety experience preferred.
• Bi-Lingual, Preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR
• Complete relevant continuing education courses to remain competent in safety, remote
and industrial medicine.
• Good safety record from past operations.
• Working knowledge of HSEQ practices common to the industry.
• Leadership and teamwork skills/behaviors which support team-based operations.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations.
• Good computer skills.
• Fit for Duty in accordance with job description.
CERTIFICATIONS
• Successfully complete and pass the Advanced Remote Emergency Medical Management
(AREMM) course with a score of greater than or equal to 80%.
• Attend and successfully pass AREMM refresher every two years.
• Valid Driver’s License
• BLS.
• NREMT, and applicable states, Paramedic License. EMT license may be allowed if approved by client.
• Certified Drug Screen Collector Certification.
