The Corporate Education Manager leads the effective and efficient training of all new Indiana Health Centers employees through cooperative policy development, regular monitoring, and follow-up. They design, develop, implement, and measure organizational systems and processes related to training and education. Additionally, they ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, IHC’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan, performance objectives, and accreditation standards.


The position requires frequent travel to IHC locations throughout the state of Indiana. Additionally, this role supervises the Corporate Clinical Educator, Corporate Educator, and Early Childhood Development (ECD) Nurses.

Corporate Education Manager Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with providers and managers on training programs to increase competence with needed skills for support staff.
  • Collaborates closely with the Quality department to identify workforce training and education needs to help improve quality outcomes.
  • Oversees and directs the preceptor program for new employee training, adjusting when necessary.
  • Develops, coordinates, maintains, evaluates, and improves components of the orientation process.
  • Arranges, provides, documents, and monitors continuing education for staff through in-services and teaches the topic being in-serviced.
  • Collaborates with clinical leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs and practices to ensure high quality, cost-effective education for patient care staff, including medical, behavioral health, and dental settings.
  • Responds to emerging needs and urgent issues by collaborating with stakeholders and developing necessary education programming.
  • Assesses ongoing educational needs of clinical staff using metrics and data analysis tools to inform learning focus areas.
  • Creates and delivers high-quality documents, presentations, and learning materials to leadership and other staffing groups.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to direct reports.
  • Actively involved in infection control and prevention including reports for Quality Performance Improvement (QPI) committee, develops infection prevention procedures, monitors and addresses sources of infection, etc.
  • Provides oversight for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. This includes ensuring compliance with VFC policies and procedures, attending annual site visits, training new staff when needed.
  • Leads and coordinates the use of Early Childhood Development Screenings in conjunction with the goals of the grant helping to achieve the goals IHC has set.
  • Leverages corporation-wide use of latest technology
  • Proficient in computer skills, including typing and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and EMR.
  • Knowledge of Med Trainer preferred.

Requirements

  • Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Ability to travel frequently to all Indiana Health Center locations.
  • 3-5 years of experience in clinical or community health is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience and Spanish speaking skills are preferred.
