Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm


Summary & Objective

  • Serve as a liaison between clinicians, regulatory agencies, and process improvement professionals to facilitate the adoption of policies and best practices. Responsibilities include assisting the agency in maintaining compliance with federal, State, CHAP, and organizational policies. Monitors audit progress and proactively identifies and mitigates risks to audit completion; appropriately escalate to department leadership or operational stakeholders and provide remediation recommendations to prevent delays or future findings. Participates in evaluation, planning, implementation, and training of clinical staff and quality improvement. 

Essential Functions

  • Provide clinical oversight of compliance to improve processes and standardization. 
  • Review clinical protocols and procedures to ensure they comply.
  • Responsible for ADR audit's accuracy, relevance, and timeliness. 
  • Works with leadership to develop performance improvement programs that support long-term goals. 
  • Reports findings and provides education related to audit discoveries.
  • Uses data-driven information to improve quality that aligns with the organization's overall strategy for improvement.
  • Coach staff on, best practices, and regulatory compliance for quality improvement. 
  • Conference with a wide variety of outside sources such as (general contractors, ACHA, CHAPS, and Legal personnel)

Other Duties

  • Pursue special assignments as instructed by the Sr. manager of Compliance and Quality and/or Executive Director. 
  • Promotes positive employee engagement, teamwork, mutual respect, and safe work practices. 
  • Maintain your required certifications and mandatory skill updates.
  • Comply with all policies, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • Clear and Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (if accepted or required by site) license to practice in the state of Florida
  • BSN preferred 
  • Certification in Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance or external audit within a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with project management methodology
  • Knowledge of operating systems and clinical applications
  • Knowledge of various EMR software, Netsmart EMR system preferred if applicable
  • Experience deploying clinical information systems
  • Must have experience with electronic clinical documentation systems
  • Must use good judgment in executing the job as the employee deals with confidential information.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of computer office/clinical software
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language
