Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor 

Reports To: Division Manager 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Department: Yard

Location: Skyway 

 

Summary:

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while maintaining a productive work environment.  

 

Job Duties: 

  • Manage and coordinate warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient workflows and the optimal use of resources. 
  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, proper storage, and timely restocking of products. 
  • Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure timely dispatch of materials, equipment, and supplies for ongoing projects. 
  • Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Promote accident prevention and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. 
  • Maintain regular communication with Supervisors, Foremen, and other departments to ensure that job orders and work schedules are met on time. 
  • Maintain accurate logs and records, including inventory counts, safety checks, and equipment maintenance logs, using electronic systems and local files. 
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to warehouse staff to ensure continuous improvement in processes and safety practices. 
  • Address and resolve any operational or personnel issues that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse activities. 
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Division Manager to support the overall success of the warehouse operations.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:  

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory management software.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies or systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  

 

Education/Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 
  • 3-5 years' experience in Supervisory role preferred. 

 

Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 200 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in precarious places; extreme cold (non-weather); and extreme heat (non-weather).
