Job Summary

This role supports research efforts on the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission. The successful candidate will participate in science operations, conduct data analysis, and contribute to the writing of scientific manuscripts.

Essential Job Duties

• Serve as sedimentology/stratigraphy leader.
• Attend and contribute to morning operations meetings.
• Conduct analysis of literature on Mars analogs.
• Write manuscripts based on MSL data analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• PhD in sedimentary geology and/or structural geology.
• At least 2 years of experience in MSL science operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in analysis of terrestrial geology analog systems, as well as experience in Mars geologic data analysis.
