About GRIP
Global Relay is an innovative business and this extends to its approach in developing highly engaging and informative content services for its prospects, customers, partners and employees. GRIP, which is an acronym for Global Relay Intelligence & Practice, was launched in early 2023, is a product in its own right and will be a new revenue line in the near future. GRIP functions with a high degree of editorial autonomy, has its own team and identity, and, being fully supported by Global Relay and its founder, is not held back by the usual foundational obstructions that start-ups have to put in place such as resource, infrastructure, capital and premises. Your role
With guidance from senior GRIP staff, you will research, source, and develop content for publication and/or broadcast as part of our specialist information service. You will create and deliver material that informs, engages, and resonates with a professional audience. A key responsibility will be expanding our healthcare coverage, with a particular focus on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues.
In this role, you will support the US Content Manager on project work while collaborating closely with our experienced and welcoming teams in London and New York.
As GRIP’s healthcare expert and primary representative in this sector, professionalism, motivation, and the ability to work independently are essential.
This on-site position reports to the US Content Manager in New York. You will be expected in the office four days per week, with flexibility to meet sources, pursue leads, connect with contributors, and attend events outside the office as needed.
Your responsibilities
- Carry out independent research and write timely, informative and insightful articles on key subject areas covered by GRIP (compliance, regulation and technology) with a specific focus on ongoing developments in the healthcare sector
- Review and track regulatory compliance updates, trends and other news in this sector
- Assist team in creating magazine articles and longer-form articles and reports
- Develop and grow industry contacts to help guide GRIP’s thought leadership in the healthcare space
- Assist with the creation of podcasts for GRIP on topics pertinent to healthcare
- Attend and report from healthcare industry events and act as GRIP’s and GR’s ambassador at such events – this will require the acquisition of deep expertise in GR products and technologies
- Support and collaborate with others by adding healthcare-related rules to GRIP’s proprietary Rules Navigator
- Participate in brainstorming events to develop new functionality/workflows that may improve GRIP or GR’s other products and improve the chances of these being adopted by organizations operating in the healthcare space
- Collaborate with other GR colleagues and departments (eg Sales, Marketing, etc.) to help the organization meet its business and financial objectives
- Ensure that all content published meets the high standards expected by our sophisticated and demanding readers
- Assist with other projects as needed
- Adhere to GR policy and legal and contractual guidelines
About you
- Deep expertise and experience in the healthcare sector
- Interest in compliance, regulatory affairs and the technology underpinning the healthcare ecosystem
- Ability to listen to and build rapport with contacts, leads and sources
- Demonstrable ability to produce interesting content for a specialist professional audience
- A track record of independently generating content that differentiates a publication
- Experience of working autonomously
- Demonstrable research and writing experience and skills set
- Affinity for technology, systems and processes
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Logical thinker with excellent organisational skills

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional work experience as a reporter, technical writer or researcher in the area of healthcare, pharmaceuticals ideally with a focus on regulatory and legal issues
Compensation:
Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with applicable pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.
