Manage logistics (scheduling, communications, materials, venues, technology) to ensure seamless execution of programs.
Collect and analyze event feedback to inform continuous improvement.
Support the design, coordination, and delivery of professional development opportunities.
Manage learning platforms, resources, and communications to maximize participation and impact, including CREC University and EEO.
Track attendance, completion rates, and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness.
Assist in the administration of recognition programs that celebrate employee contributions and milestones.
Develop communications and campaigns to increase awareness and engagement in recognition efforts.
Track recognition program usage and recommend enhancements to improve reach and inclusivity.
Assist in the design, launch, and coordination of mentorship programs that connect employees with peer and leadership support.
Provide logistical support, including mentor/mentee matching, communications, resource development, and tracking participation.
Gather feedback and evaluate outcomes to strengthen program effectiveness and sustainability.
Provide project management and administrative support for ongoing and emerging initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, performance management, succession planning, and continued leadership development).
Research best practices and assist in developing new tools, resources, and frameworks to advance organizational talent strategies.
Draft clear, engaging content for intranet, newsletters, and presentations to promote talent management programs and opportunities.
Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking information about talent management programs and resources.
Support and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, and external resources to progressively assist in the enhancement of CREC’s talent management strategy.
Maintain accurate program records and generate reports on participation, trends, and outcomes.
Assist in analyzing data to inform decision-making and measure the success of talent initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Since 1966, the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) has been dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective educational programs and services to meet the diverse needs of children and adults in Greater Hartford. Serving 33 member districts and reaching additional communities statewide, CREC supports approximately 12,000 students annually through more than 120 educational programs. Our offerings include professional learning and coaching for educators, specialized programming for students with diverse needs, and PreK-12 education across 16 interdistrict magnet schools. Additionally, CREC provides school construction, operations, and cooperative business services, while also delivering programs that help adults build real, job-ready skills.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Talent Management Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the design, coordination, and implementation of programs and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and strengthen organizational culture. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will provide comprehensive support across all areas of talent management—including event planning, learning and development, employee engagement, rewards and recognition, tuition reimbursement, and mandated training. The Specialist will support in collaborating with leaders, managers, and employees to deliver high-quality programs that foster growth, connection, and retention across the organization.
