The Aftermarket Services Manager, Regional role provides after-sale service support to Kohler Residential & Power Products customers primarily in, but not limited to, the residential markets. This support may include technical troubleshooting, technical information assistance, application data, warranty processing assistance, aftermarket development and distributor/dealer training. 

This remote home-office based position will be on the West Coast, preferably California or Nevada.

Specific Requirements:

  • Service & Installation Support

  • Coordinate, coach, and develop distributor/dealer channels on technology, service, and installation procedures

  • Implement aftermarket development strategies and approve dealer technical prequalification submissions

  • Execute programs and metrics to measure dealer service and parts performance

  • Conduct regular channel visits to support aftermarket growth, training, and certification

  • Support Residential and Power Products training initiatives

  • Technical Support

  • Provide technical guidance to distributor/dealer technicians via phone, email, and field visits on generator maintenance, repair, and operation

  • Assist Sales and Technical Services during product launches and escalations to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Deliver rapid onsite support for high-profile quality issues

  • Support pilot and production genset field analysis for NPD and product improvement programs

  • Provide backup support for Technical Services call center as needed

  • Advise Sales Administration on parts interpretation and repair lists

  • Reporting & Strategy Execution

  • Generate weekly field reports and custom monthly reports for cross-functional teams

  • Ensure aftermarket goals and service-related sales targets are met

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop service parts, contracts, warranties, and accessory programs

  • Aftermarket Development

  • Manage aftermarket strategy for assigned distribution channels

  • Drive market penetration through creative programs and support parts sales

  • Collect and analyze competitive data to maintain industry-leading programs

  • Conduct service certification analysis and audits

  • Support serviceability audits for NPD programs to reduce ownership costs and improve maintenance efficiency

  • Travel & Planning

  • Develop and manage travel plans aligned with company policies and cost controls

  • Project Work & Collaboration

  • Participate in assigned projects and initiatives

  • Maintain frequent contact with internal departments (Technical Services, Production, Sales, Engineering, Inspection, Parts Marketing, Technical Publications, Sales Administration)

  • Provide ongoing technical assistance to Area Sales Managers, Account Executives, distributors, dealers, OEMs, and customers via phone and correspondence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred OR a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a relevant industry will also qualify

  • Effective written and oral communication (required)

  • Computer and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (required)

  • Ability to present to groups (required)

  • Installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of automatic transfer switches, generators, or other power distribution equipment (preferred)

  • A thorough understanding of AC electrical principles and the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical problems, and coach others to do the same (preferred)

  • Dealership development (preferred) 

  • Military experience (preferred)

  • Alternate experience that will be considered in place of preferred experience:

  • Project, Program, or Product management backgrounds

  • Mobile construction, agricultural, or similar OEM support experience

  • Engineering backgrounds

  • Business development

  • Training development and delivery

  • New Product Development backgrounds

  • Ability to travel for business 30% to 50% of the time

  • Territory may cover approximately 1–3 states or provinces, and most travel occurs during business hours

  • Travel includes visits to distributors, dealers, company locations, training events, and local trade shows

The Salary range for this position is $83,300.00-$105,200.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
